How to Test Glue Flow Before Starting Acrylic Production

Before acrylic production, always test glue flow on scrap material. A short test helps confirm glue line width, flow stability, stop response, bubble condition, and needle suitability. Once the flow is stable, the operator can lock the setting and use the same setup for batch production.

1.Why should you test glue flow before production?

A glue flow test prevents problems from appearing on real products. It helps the operator see whether the glue line is too wide, too thin, unstable, or affected by bubbles. Testing is especially important when using a new glue, new needle, or new product structure.

2.What should you check during testing?

Check the width of the glue line, whether the glue stops cleanly, whether bubbles appear, and whether the flow stays stable during a longer line. Also check whether the needle can reach the bonding area comfortably. These simple checks can prevent rework later.

3.How do you adjust settings before batch work?

Start with a lower or medium setting, then increase slowly until the glue line matches the product requirement. If overflow appears, reduce the setting. If the line breaks, increase the setting or check the needle. Once the result is stable, record the setting for the batch.
